The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 2007 assessment runs to several thousand pages, with more than 400 authors and 2,500 reviewers and the updated report, "Copenhagen Diagnosis 2009" also makes this absolutely clear, even to the most stubborn challenger.

It feels like just yesterday when we donned our silly Year 2000 party hats and tooted excitedly as we looked to the future. I remember too that we also had a fair amount of concern that the Y2K bug would cause a worldwide financial crash.

No doubt you have heard of ‘the butterfly effect’, the amazing effect the flapping of butterfly wings can have on the environment at the other side of the world. It’s even been said that the flapping of a butterfly’s wings in Australia could cause (or stop) a tornado in America.
