In the public debate surrounding man induced climate change it appears that ignoring the weight of evidence is an increasingly common position to take. This is despite the fact that there is a vast amount of scientific reporting supporting man induced climate change and only a small amount contesting it.

Driving to work, I caught the most powerful talkback radio commentator in Australia ranting about how disgusted he is that children are being taught about climate change at school. His main point: the Government is running a propaganda campaign to reinforce its drive for emissions trading legislation. 

Wake-up Australia! The bells are ringing – louder and louder – as we near an agreement on a framework to reduce carbon emissions. Yet some of us are still tossing and turning in our sleep. But wait: this is not a nightmare – surely it is an opportunity.

The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute film that takes viewers on a provocative and eye-opening tour of the real costs of our consumer driven culture—from resource extraction to iPod incineration.

Now in its second year, the Prix Pictet, aims to use photography to educate audiences worldwide about issues related to climate change. This is the first photographic award on the topic of sustainability, harnessing art’s unique compelling power for the benefit of our precious planet.

Just what are the green skills needed for the leaders of tomorrow?  It’s the million-dollar question!
As we transition into a low carbon economy there will be a significant amount of reframing required for many roles.
