Growing up while my mom was a librarian, I was always reading books she brought me or I was hanging around in the library with her. I loved and still love to read and get totally lost in the story. When I was at the end of my teenage years I started to write.
My dad being really interested in geography, I also developed a great interest in travelling and other countries. I would sit in my room with my globe and look where all the countries were. I have visited a lot of Europe with my parents and often my sister and I kept a journal, so we could read about our experiences in other countries.
Growing up in The Netherlands I was always curious about far away countries. This year I decided to go to Australia, to learn more about the country, work there and see more of the world. A world that is such a precious thing to live in. If everybody just takes a step further, I think our world would be an even more beautiful place! And that is why I decided to contribute articles for the Green Times.
Another passion of mine is eating and drinking. I love to cook or eat in a restaurant and eat with friends. And I am sure organic food and drinks aren’t only better for the environment, they certainly taste better!
