1. DEFINITION: Eco products

Eco_productsEco products are products that are designed to cause minimal or no harm to the environment at the time of their production and/or consumption and/or scrapping compared to equivalent traditional products.

Products made of natural, biodegradable or organic ingredients are examples of eco products. To help consumers be aware of green consumption, eco products are more and more often marked with eco-labels.

Generally eco products are more expensive than non-eco products. Consequently, their production and consumption are often stimulated by fiscal or economic incentives.
