12-14 February - Live Green House at the Chinese New Year Festival, Sydney
Next weekend the world will be celebrating the Chinese New Year. In Sydney, as part of the celebration come discover the Live Green House. This transportable urban home designed by Terry Bail from Archology will show you sustainable solutions for house and apartment living including the latest in green lighting solutions, and practical information on energy, water, waste, and gardening.
Information will be provided in both English and Mandarin!
When:From 4pm to 10pm on Friday and 11am to 10pm in the weekend.
15-16 February – Clever Green Conference 2010, Adelaide
The conference will introduce clean and environmentally sustainable South Australian products and services, and will provide updates on the latest research as well as information on funding and commercialisation opportunities.
Speakers will cover topics such as investment and global trends in the CleanTech sector.
A free public showcase where over 50 businesses will be displaying their product and services will be taking place on Monday from 3pm to 5pm.
17 and 18 February – Environmental Management in Mining, Perth
For people working in the mining industry, this event will consider the implications and expectations of the risk-based approach to WA’s environmental impact assessment. It will cover the latest changes to legislation so that you can implement strategies to meet government criteria in order to achieve sustainable mining.
13-15 February – Mother Earth: Save it for Future Generation, India
Organised by the Department of Environmental Science of the University of Burdwan, the conference will focus on environemental resources, mining impacts, ecotoxicology, eco-pollution, water assessment, biotechnology and waste management.
15 and 16 February – New Zealand Freshwater Management Forum, New Zealand
The forum will discuss the issues surrounding New Zealand freshwater resources and look at ways to face the country’s freshwater resources’ challenges. This will include discussion on the creation of an EPA for New Zealand and the design of a sustainable water management strategy.
