clean upClean Up Australia day is coming up on March 7, but prior to that, if you are in the workforce don’t miss Business Clean Up Day! A great opportunity to get into the outdoors with your colleagues and help improve the local environment. This is a fun day out that will make a difference. Also, coming soon Seaweek.

2 March 2010, Business Clean Up Day, Australia wide

Businesses are a great contributor of waste in Australia and around the world. As part of Clean Up Australia, a special day is dedicated to businesses to give them the opportunity to also work towards reducing waste.

Besides, contributing to a great cause, Business Clean Up Day is a great team building exercise! So get all your staff and colleagues involved!

Register a site to Clean Up and get into the great Australia outdoors to pick up rubbish and improve the local environment. You can also further support the work of Clean Up Australia by becoming a Business Supporter.

For more information on this initiative, check Clean Up Australia, and read our article about Clean Up Australia celebrating 20 years in 2010.

Also, following Business Clean Up Day, don’t miss Schools Clean Up Day on March 5, and Clean Up Australia day on March 7!

1-7 March 2010, Seaweek, Australia wide

Every year, Seaweek focuses on community awareness and appreciation of our marine and coastal environment. This year’s, as part of 2010 International Year of Biodiversity, the theme of Seaweek is “Oceans of Life – ours to explore and conserve”.

Organised by MESA, Seaweek’s goals are to promote best practice marine education in Australasia, develop community understanding, appreciation and action for the marine and coastal environment, and encourage the contribution to national and international marine education initiatives.

The marine and coastal environment are such a huge part of Australian’s lives. So don’t miss, Seaweek!
